Microsoft’s Launch Event Promotion

Microsoft’s new launch event promotion “Heroes Happen {Here}” is aimed at IT Professionals and Developers. The events are to promote the new Windows Server® 2008 operating system, Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008, and Microsoft Visual Studio® 2008 platforms.

Events are being held is 61 locations nationwide in the United States and many other locations worldwide. As part of their thanks for attending you get to take home copies of the three platforms. The events begin February 27th in Los Angeles and continue until June 9th in Tampa.


There will be hands-on labs, face-to-face Q&A sessions with software experts, and other opportunities to interact with development team members. If you are unable to attend an event you can still get a hands-on evaluation by downloading one of the trial versions. Trial versions are good for 60 days, but can be extended for as long as 240 days.

Event highlights include:

• Test-drive new product features and functionality
• Interact with Microsoft product experts
• Join Q&A sessions with development teams
• Meet with Microsoft technology partners and MVP’s
• Hear the Los Angeles keynote speech, scheduled to be Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer
