Cisco Press has released new print and electronic versions of their exam guides and learning tools to prepare candidates for the new CCNA concentrations. These new concentrations include CCNA Security, CCNA Wireless and CCNA Voice.
Cisco introduced three concentrations to the popular associate-level career certification, CCNA Security, CCNA Wireless, CCNA Voice. These highly specialized concentrations offer candidates a specialty niche to help in their career path.
“The introduction of these three new CCNA-level certification tracks is the most exciting development in the Cisco certification space since the original routing and switching CCNA certification was launched 10 years ago,” said Brett Bartow, Cisco Press executive editor. “These three new tracks provide a much needed stepping stone for networking professionals looking to specialize in the fast growing security, voice, and wireless fields and should prove to be extremely popular and valuable credentials.”
CCNA Voice Certification
This certification validates voice application skills such as VoIP infrastructure, call manager software, video and presence, and IP Communications hardware.

A group of five enterprise software companies announced the creation of the Enterprise Desktop Alliance (EDA) to facilitate the acceptance of the Mac in environments managed with Microsoft Windows.
The EDA will be hosting a series of events, including seminars and Webcasts, and will provide white papers, product information and other resources on the EDA web site.
“Interest in the Mac at large organizations is growing along with Apple’s market share,” said Bob O’Donnell, Vice President, IDC. “The challenge has been overcoming objections surrounding managing Macs within these corporate environments. Efforts that can make life easier for the IT professional and help the Mac become a more appealing and realistic alternative within the enterprise could help turn that interest into a stronger Mac presence.”
For IT Management
The EDA suite of solutions will enable IT departments to deploy, integrate
and manage Macs throughout the enterprise. They will use the same standard Windows-based management tools to support Macs as they do with Windows.

Registration has been simplified to one page making it faster and simpler to register each affiliate. Under the plan your company can purchase software licenses at any time, easing planning and deployment as your needs change.
The Select Plus licensing program is due to start up in October 2008
