<description>If your boss does not show appreciation for your contributions then indeed they are a very poor manager. One of the most important things a manager needs to do is to let each of their reports know how their work contributes to the goals of the team, department and company. Everyone wants to know that their work is meaningful and appreciated, even your selfish boss. It may be they are using your hard work to advance themselves without any concern to building their team or reports. Again poor management, but sadly it happens. If I were you print out one or more of the following and put them on their desk. Maybe they need a wake-up call. In addition to these look around this website and you will find many more posts your boss may benefit from. Managers who don&#039;t connect or understand their reports is a pet peeve of mine.
